My Goals for 2026 (Starting Over at 39) What makes me happy about the new year? For me, it’s that “clean slate” or “fresh start” feeling — where you forgive yourself for any goals unachieved in the year just gone. Creating this mental space allows room for new and exciting goals to tackle in the year ahead. Partying and getting drunk on New Year’s Eve isn’t my thing. I prefer an early night, lying in bed, reflecting on the year that’s gone, and fantasising about the year ahead. Without further ado, here are my goals for 2026 that I’ve just mustered up off the cuff: Fitness & Health Advance from intermediate to advanced at Thai boxing by training at least 5x per week Have 2 Thai boxing interclub fights Get a six-pack Run at least 3 half-marathons Learning & Skills / Personal Growth Read 1 book per week Learn a new language (Thai) to basic level Money, Career & Personal Growth Increase my annual income to £40K Start my own business o...
